Description
Signatory bottled this 10 year old 2011 Knockando for its Un-Chillfiltered Collection, vatted from five ex-Bourbon casks (306236, 38, 43, 45 and 46), for Germany. Knockando, founded in 1898 in Speyside, is the heart of the J&B blend.
Knockando, now a Diageo distillery, makes a light and fine Speyside spirit. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks over ten years, the wood frames the malt cleanly.
Bottled at 46%, non-chill-filtered. The ex-Bourbon gives vanillin for vanilla and oak lactones for coconut, with maltol for toffee, the lack of chill filtration adding texture. An independent Signatory Knockando.
