Signatory bottled this 13 year old 2007 Knockando for its Un-Chillfiltered Collection, vatted from ex-Bourbon casks 304095 and 304097. Knockando, founded in 1898 in Speyside, is the heart of the J&B blend.
Knockando, now a Diageo distillery, makes a light and fine Speyside spirit. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks over thirteen years, the wood frames the malt cleanly.
Bottled at 46%, non-chill-filtered. The ex-Bourbon gives vanillin for vanilla and oak lactones for coconut, with maltol for toffee, the higher strength and lack of chill filtration giving more texture than the official 43%. An independent Signatory Knockando.
