Description
This Richly Matured 15 Years Old was distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2016 for the Netherlands, matured in Oloroso and ex-Bourbon, the name marking its sherry-led character. Knockando, the 1898 Speyside distillery at the heart of the J&B blend, dates each bottling by vintage.
Now owned by Diageo, the distillery makes a light, fine Speyside spirit that takes sherry well. Matured in Oloroso and ex-Bourbon casks, the sherry wood pulls the malt towards dried fruit.
Bottled at 43%. The Oloroso gives dried fruit, melanoidins reading as fig and raisin, the ex-Bourbon adding vanilla beneath. A sherried vintage Knockando.
