Description
This Master Reserve 21 Years Old was distilled in 1994 and bottled in 2016, two years earlier than its sibling from the same vintage. Matured in ex-Bourbon and Oloroso. Knockando, founded in 1898 in Speyside, is the heart of the J&B blend and bottles by vintage.
Today owned by Diageo, the distillery makes a soft, fine Speyside spirit. Matured in ex-Bourbon and Oloroso casks across twenty-one years, the two woods give vanilla and dried fruit.
Bottled at 43%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla, the Oloroso dried fruit from its melanoidins. The recorded notes run to cooked fruit, dried fruit, honey, a malt extract note, citrus and fresh fruit. An older Master Reserve vintage.
