Description
This 6 Years Old is a single cask of Kingsbarns drawn from ex-Bourbon barrel I650750, bottled undiluted. An outturn of 299 bottles. Kingsbarns, a Lowland distillery in Fife's East Neuk, was founded by the Wemyss family in 2014.
The distillery near St Andrews runs long-necked stills for a light, fruity, unpeated Lowland spirit. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask over six years, the wood frames the young malt.
Bottled at its natural cask strength of 61.5%. The ex-Bourbon lends vanilla through vanillin and coconut through oak lactones, the high strength lifting the fruity Lowland character. A young single cask from Fife.
