Description
This Triskele Casks release is a French Exclusive small batch bottled by La Maison du Whisky, from ex-Bourbon and Oloroso casks. An outturn of 1,260 bottles. Kilchoman is the only farm distillery on Islay, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005.
The distillery grows and malts barley on site and bottles on the farm. Matured in ex-Bourbon and Oloroso casks, the two woods give vanilla and dried fruit.
Bottled at its natural cask strength of 48.6%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla, the Oloroso dried fruit, while peat phenols carry the smoke. The recorded note is a nutty edge. A small batch for a French specialist.
