Description
This Small Batch Release is an ex-Bourbon Kilchoman. An outturn of 1,260 bottles. Kilchoman, founded by Anthony Wills in 2005, was the first new distillery on Islay in over 124 years.
The distillery follows its barley from field to bottle on the one Islay farm. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks, the wood frames the young peated spirit with vanilla and citrus.
Bottled at its natural cask strength of 49.6%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla while peat phenols carry the smoke. The recorded notes run to honey and smoke. A clean bourbon small batch.
