Description
This Single Cask is a 10 year old from 2014, matured in a Fino sherry cask, number 14/830. An outturn of 675 bottles for Germany. Set up by Anthony Wills in 2005, Kilchoman remains Islay's only farm distillery.
The distillery malts its own barley and bottles on the farm. Matured in a single Fino cask, the driest of the sherry styles, the wood adds a nutty, saline edge.
Bottled at its natural cask strength of 59%. The Fino gives a dry, nutty, saline note while peat phenols carry the smoke. A Fino sherry single cask for Germany.
