Isle of Jura Distillery Cask 18 Years Old 2002

This Distillery Cask was distilled in 2002 and drawn from Oloroso single cask 6665, bottled at a cask strength 57.1%. An outturn of 360 bottles, the Distillery Cask line is sold to visitors at Jura itself. Whisky returned to Jura in 1963, when the island's one distillery was rebuilt from the old ruins.

The distillery's light, clean spirit takes sherry well over eighteen years. Matured in a single Oloroso cask, the sherry wood pulls the malt towards dried fruit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 57.1%. The Oloroso gives dried fruit, melanoidins reading as fig and raisin, with a walnut dryness. Full and sherried at cask strength. A hand-filled distillery-only release Jura.
